What is INKOM?

WHAT IS INKOM? INKOM is the general introduction for all new (Master’s) students at Maastricht University, Zuyd Hogeschool and Vista College. Regardless of your field of study, this introduction offers you the opportunity to explore Maastricht.

Two weeks before the Academic Year begins, you’ll have the chance to get acquainted with everything the city has to offer. You will not only make lifelong friends but also get to know the city and receive valuable tips from older students to kickstart your student life.

Together with over 5000 fellow students, you’ll take your first steps into student life during INKOM!

A GREAT START TO YOUR STUDENT LIFE!

INKOM is accessible to every first-year student. Whether you’re of legal age or not, and regardless whether you are doing MBO, HBO, WO, this week offers everyone a fantastic start to both academic and social life in Maastricht. While participation is not mandatory, Maastricht University, Zuyd Hogeschool, and Vista College strongly encourage incoming students to join. It’s an experience you’ll never forget and definitely don’t want to miss!

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You can choose for a group with or without the guidance of one or two mentors, you will explore the city and student life with a group of approximately 10 fellow students. You will also get to know various study and student associations. Previous years’ activities have included an information market, movie night, parties at the MECC, a city tour, bowling, music evenings, and much more!

MASTER STUDENT?

As a master's student, you can also sign up for the INKOM!
