So you can discover what you’re good at, develop yourself, and gain practical experience. Whether you’re still in school, studying, just starting your career, or already have years of experience: there’s always a next step to discover. At CHILL, you’ll meet people, gain knowledge, connect with organizations, and work on challenges that help you move forward. You can work on real-world challenges, explore different fields, and discover which work and environment are the right fit for you. We do this throughout Limburg, across chemistry and materials, Data & AI, Health & Life Sciences, agri-food, logistics, and manufacturing. From Geleen, Heerlen, Maastricht, and Venlo, we connect talent with the opportunities the region has to offer. Sometimes you’ll work at CHILL itself. Other times, you’ll gain experience through CHILL at an organization, in a project, internship, traineeship, challenge, or development programme. Whatever your path, we’ll help you move forward.

Expat Centre Maastricht Region supports international knowledge workers, cross-border workers, researchers, students, and their families in making a smooth start in the Maastricht region. As a central service point, the Expat Centre helps internationals and employers with practical matters related to living, working, and settling in South Limburg. By providing information, guidance, and personal support, the Expat Centre contributes to the successful integration of international talent into the region. The Expat Centre works closely with municipalities, educational institutions, employers, the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND), and other regional partners. Thanks to this collaboration, internationals can quickly find their way through Dutch regulations and become familiar with the regional community. In doing so, the Expat Centre makes an important contribution to an attractive and internationally oriented labour market. Grensinfopunt is the go-to contact point for cross-border workers with questions about working and living across the border. Here, you can receive information and advice about the tax and social security systems in Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. Together with the overarching Welcome to Maastricht Region programme, these organizations support you in navigating this dynamic cross-border region. Within just half an hour, you can cross three national borders, creating unique opportunities for study, work, and personal growth. Attracting and retaining international talent, while helping them discover what the region has to offer in terms of work and career opportunities, is our priority. This approach is made possible by Heerlen, Sittard-Geleen, and Maastricht, with additional support from the Regio Deal Zuid-Limburg and a network of employers, educational institutions, and knowledge partners. Whether you are an international, cross-border worker, student, professional, or employer, our partners provide expert advice to help make your move, career development, or cross-border recruitment as smooth as possible.
