Activities of Choice

During the Activities of Choice different student associations, sport associations, fraternities and sororities, and other student organizations present their own activity. This will give you the chance to get to know the association of your choice. You will find all the Activities of Choice below.

  ELSA Maastricht: Mini Moot Court Competition 

  The Mini Moot Court competition is an event aimed at bringing together ambitious and well-spoken incoming students who want to experience Mooting first-hand. The cases will be structured in a way that even students with little to no legal knowledge can participate.

  Sailing and windsurfing with Lagakari!

  What: Sailing! Where: we meet in front of bonnefanten When: 14:30-18:30 Come sail, windsurf and swim with Lagakari for the activity of choice! We will have cycling buddies at the front of the Bonnefanten museum (on the side of Avenue ceramique) who will bring you to our sailing and windsurfing spot of the day (expect a 10-15 min bike ride). Once there, make ready to chill at the beach, have a few drinks and some snacks, sail on one of our association boats or get a quick windsurfing lesson ;). we will keep you updated in our INKOM WhatsApp chat. no sailing experience required!!

  NL: Vanaf 15:00 zijn onze deuren open voor een drankje en kan je genieten van de zon op ons terras. Van 16:00-18:30 kun je bij ons roeiclinics komen volgen en de nummer 1 studentensport ervaren. Daarbij kan je ook lekkere wraps met falafel komen eten, of gewoon een simpele portie frietjes. ENG: From 15:00 our doors are opened to enjoy a little drink in the sun on our terrace. From 16:00-18:30 you can get in a boat and try out rowing, the No1 sport for students in the Netherlands. Besides that you can complete your day by having a nice dinner with falafel wraps, or just a simple portion of fries.

THE PHILOSOPHY The head is the center of orientation. It perceives, interprets, sets priorities and holds the long-term vision. The neck transmits, it bridges vision and reality. In the Nana Benz Sorority, every department holds a different compass (department). Every compass points in a slightly different direction, not because one is right and the others are wrong, but because where you stand determines what you see. This game gives each player a compass. The question is: can you tell when someone else's needle is pointing somewhere different?

  Workshop con la Tuna 

  If you don't know how to play any instruments and singing isn't your thing, this activity is exactly what you've been looking for. The renowned musicians of the two Maastricht tunas will teach you everything you need to know about the guitar (three chords) and the tambourine (tapping in rhythm). By the end, you'll even be able to play a song! We can't fix your singing though, but that's nothing a little practice can't fix when you join our weekly rehearsals ;)

  Meet UnliMited: Craft and connect

  Get to know fellow new students with a disability, chronic illness or neurodivergence! Spend a relaxed afternoon chatting with others while doing fun activities and crafts. Play a board game, decorate a photo frame, make a collage and/or decorate a personal journal to take home! Snacks and drinks will be provided. You will also have the chance to meet the UnliMited-Students team and learn about our community and events.

  Location: Staff lounge at the Student Services Centre (Bonnefantenstraat 2, 6211 KL Maastricht). There will be signs guiding participants from the entrance to the space where the event takes place.
